Festival hued, most unusual cubes of Venetian hand-made silver foil glass, with colors so lively they seem to have come off the palette of a modernist painter, such as perhaps Miro? Cubes are secured with small matching orange beads, and the necklace is strung on antique steel cut beads--almost impossible to find today--which were culled from the purses and fancy garments of ladies in the 18th century. The amazing effect of these steel cuts-personally selected by Kirkwood-is that they offer incomparable delicacy and make the necklace appear to float on the wearer's neck. Sterling silver clasp.
